Trauma and PTSD Treatment at Revida

WHAT ARE TRAUMA AND PTSD?
Your reactions make sense. These are real injuries to the mind and body, and they can heal.
Trauma can come from a single overwhelming event or from something that went on for a long time, such as abuse, violence, loss, an accident, or combat. It can shake your sense of safety. PTSD is what can happen when the mind and body stay on alert long after the danger has passed: memories that intrude, a body that won’t relax, feelings that go quiet or feel too big.
None of this is a sign of weakness. It’s what a nervous system does when it has been through too much. At Revida, you never have to prove what happened or tell it before you’re ready. We go at your pace, and we treat the whole person, not just the symptoms.
You may recognize some of these signs:
Flashbacks, nightmares, or memories that keep coming back
Feeling constantly on edge, jumpy, or unable to sleep
Avoiding people, places, or reminders, or feeling numb and disconnected
Guilt, shame, or a sense that you’re “stuck” in the past
Racing heart, tension, headaches, or other physical symptoms
Pulling away from others, or finding it hard to trust
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you deserve support. If you’re having thoughts of suicide, please call or text 988 right now.
Care that puts your safety and choice first.
Healing from trauma starts with feeling safe. You’ll always know what to expect, and you decide how and when to talk about what happened. Our team uses evidence-based approaches such as EMDR and cognitive behavioral therapies designed for trauma to help you process painful memories at a pace you can manage.
Support for the body, too.
Trauma lives in the body as well as the mind. Breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, mindfulness, and gentle movement help calm your nervous system and ease tension, so you can feel more settled day to day.
Help for the story you carry.
Expressive arts, journaling, and other ways of telling your story can help you make sense of what happened, without pressure to relive it.
A calm place to rest and reset.
A peaceful, private setting and a team that understands how hard this is, so you can focus on feeling safe again.
COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT PROGRAM
YOUR PATH TO FEELING SAFE AGAIN
Healing isn’t about forgetting. It’s about the past losing its hold on the present. Your care starts with a thorough assessment of your health, your history, your symptoms, and what you hope for. From there, we build a plan around you, with four parts that work together: Calming your body and mind. Relaxation, breathing, grounding, and sleep support help settle an overactive stress response so you can feel steadier.
Processing what happened. Trauma-focused therapies such as EMDR help you work through painful memories safely, with a trained clinician beside you. Finding meaning and calm. Mindfulness, time in nature, and reflective practices help you reconnect with yourself and rebuild a sense of peace and purpose.
Reconnecting with people. Group therapy, family sessions, and peer support rebuild trust and remind you that you’re not alone. Support doesn’t end when you leave. We help you build a plan for the road ahead, including coping skills for difficult triggers and continued support through peer groups and follow-up care.
